When you step into the world of led panels there are some terms that need to be known so that you too can speak the language.
just like most any electronic product led panels have some standard attibutes to measure quality.
Pixel pitch
the distance (in millimeters) from the center of one LED cluster to the center of the next LED cluster. in short, the smaller the number the closer one can stand to the led panel and see a clear image.
Nit
A nit is a unit of measurement that equals one candle per square meter. Candela, in turn, is the unit measurement for light intensity. The number in and of itself means nothing but provides a measure against other panels.
view angle
the angle from which the screen is clearly viewable. led panels generally range from 120 to 160 degrees.
refresh rate
measured in hz, the refresh rate is the number of times the picture is refreshed on the screen per second.. the standard for an led panel is 60 hz but can be 240 hz or higher. the higher refresh rate allows for a clearer picture every time.
resolution
how clear is the picture? this is the measure of pixels per a specified space. the options for now are 720p, 1080p, ultra hd which is more commonly known as 4k, and now even 8k.
Contrast
The contrast ratio is the ratio between the luminance of the brightest white and the darkest black that a TV can produce. A higher contrast ratio means that the TV can display deeper blacks, improving the overall picture quality, especially when watching content in dark rooms. The photo demonstrates why it matters.
